A little hustle, passion and intensity goes a long way, doesn't it? People like to associate with winners and they're willing to pay for it. If service providers don't snap out of that "poor me" phenomenon, they'll never feel like a winner, they'll never seem like a winner to others, and they fulfill their own prophecy of living in the business doldrums. More business for you.

Mike, very eye-opening! In my industry (copywriting/Internet marketing), it's a common complaint: Customers have cut back on buying, prospects have dried up, and foreign firms are scooping up what's left of the business with ridiculously low rates. And yet, I am incredibly busy - booked well into the new year. I'm not saying this to 'plug' myself, but to point out that you are absolutely, 100% correct. There is far more than enough business for every copywriter/marketer on the planet. Customers DO still need help, and they WILL pay for a provider who is enthusiastic and engaged in helping the customer solve his biggest problems. I can't wait to wake up every morning and run to work! Customers feel it...they can spot a determined winner...and service providers must snap out of the "poor me" syndrome if they want to find success into 2010.
